Lankawi, Malaysia, Day 2: (12/11/09) (Day 14/18)

We really liked the breakfast selection at Awana. Whenever I am back to Langkawi, I am going to stay again at Awana.
We headed out for cable car at 10:00. It was 30 mins drive from our hotel. By the time we reached the Oriental Village, it seems the sun got stronger. It is highly recommended to carry sun-glassed, sun-screen, hat and umbrella. Each gondola can fit 6 person. The cable car brought us straight to the top of Mat Cincang mountain after 15 mins beautiful ride. The view was awesome from the platform on top of the mountain. If you are lucky, you may found yourself in clouds for few mins.
There is a sky bridge down from the platform where gondola stops. Do not go down if you have difficulty climbing up more than 100 stairs.
Back to oriental village, we tried Segway eco ride (http://www.segway.com/), it was fun. The Segway is a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle invented by Dean Kamen.
After the joy segway ride, we drove to the Telaga Tujuh Waterfall. First Waterfall is approx 20 mins steep walk from car park. We heard the first waterfall is better than second, hence we did not bother to visit other one, for which you have to climb up further.
We rested for while and came back, with the plan that we will come with towel next time to enjoy waterfall.
We headed to crocodile form from there which was 20 mins drive, could not find anything impressive, however feeding session to crocodiles was good.
After park, we headed towards black sand beach. Not sure why it is called black sand beach. Sand was dark but nor black I would say. We rested for a while and started our journey again. Target was to reach eagle square before sun-set and we did.
We enjoyed sun-set at Eagle Square Park and headed to the shopping centre and brought few souvenirs from there.
After sun-set we drove back to Kuah town, it was drizzling. We roamed for a while but then it started heavily. We got inside a restaurant and had dinner. Then we started driving back to Hotel. Heavy rain continued for approx next 3 hours while we were enjoying live bank at Awana.
